Create your Own Mascot- Commonwealth Games

Create your own Mascot task

I created my own Mascot, and I wanted it to be a NZ Falcon, his name is Tryler. We named him Tryler because Tryler is a very sporty person, especially rugby. He loves to watch the All Blacks play.

The colours on his wings, represents the colour of the commonwealth games sign red, yellow & blue. The T-Shirt he is wearing is a Kowhai tree. The Kowhai tree is said to symbolise personal growth, and it helps people move on from the past with a renewed sense of adventure.

Personal Information:

Loves sports – rugby ( Rugby Union, Rugby league, & Rugby sevens )

He loves to eat everything and anything.

Favourite colour – Red, Blue & Yellow

Facts:

My Falcon is the last species of his kind, he comes from a very rare family.

Toanga – Whale Tail

Toanga – Whale Tail

A Toanga is a treasure to the moari’s. He came to the conclusion that a taonga must be temple delivered on behalf of a kinship or tribe group in an outstanding experience, environment in order to qualify as such. It must also have a whakapapa tradition, special importance, or mana.

The whale tail represents luck and protection: The Maoris think that a whale carried the first man to New Zealand. Because the whale brought him safely to his new home, where he would live and thrive, whales are sometimes seen as protectors and asbringing good fortune.

Creating our own Game – Quick hoops

Today, with Mrs.Raj we read an article about Basketball. After reading and understanding the article about basketball, we did a quiz to see if we understood the article, then we had to create a game of our own.

We created a game with the starting of basketball ( to throw the ball in the air and a player from the team have to jump and hit the ball to their team mates ).  Try this game out and tell me how to goes down below in the comments. Thank you

Narrative – Respecting your parents

MUM, can I please have some time on my device?

“No, you have to do your homework, then you can spend some time on your Ipad” mum always expected me to do something good to have some time on my Ipad. That was the number one rule in the house.

Jack didn’t want to do his homework, so he lied to his mother, “ MUMM, I’m done with my homework, I’m going to get my Ipad”. Mum believed him and let him go on his device.

A couple of hours later, Jack was still on the Ipad. . After mum was finished cooking, she went to Jack’s room to get his clothes for the washing, just to find his homework on his bed unfinished, untouched.

Mum was mad, she picked up his homework and stormed off to the living room where Jack was shocked when she saw his mum with his homework in her hand. Jack started to panic trying to think of an excuse to get him out of the situation.

“ What is this??” mum shouted. “ I’m sorry mum, I wanted time on my Ipad, I’m sorry.” Mum was mad, so she told him “ You better finish your homework unless you have no iPad for a whole week, now hurry up and finish your homework!” mum shouted.

This is a lesson to listen to your parents and never disobey them. Listen to your parents.
